It's Monday and the Ides of March, plus possibly (or not) the Feast of Anna Perenna. Also, World Consumer Rights Day, and if you moved your clocks this weekend, be careful out there! What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in an almost-edible boudoir rose, Parfums de Nicolaï Balkis. I'd forgotten how delicious this one is.
Reminder: 3/19 will be Foody Friday...wear a gourmand or foody fragrance (this is a repeat project from 2015).
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Hello hello, Robin!
Balkis is a favorite and I’m glad I nabbed another bottle (my current) when I was able to. Pity it’s no longer in production.
I’m in Attrape Coeur and waiting for more spring weather like we had last week here in the Delaware Valley. Have a good week!
Nice to see you, Joe!
Joe!! Long time no see.
I used to like the Balkis Light better, but I think it would be best to have both 🙂
And yes…please, more 60+ weather!
A chilly rainy start to the day here in LA. Some le lion and a cozy hoodie before the days turn too warm to wear this beauty,
Rain is good, yes? I was just reading something dire about droughts out west this year.
Robin, yes, the drought situation out West is really bad. They could use a couple more monster snow storms to really make a dent.
We always need rain.
Le Lion and the hoodie are perfect for today.
Yep!
cold, again
Chance Eau Fraîche, at least I smell like spring.
Cold here too.?
It didn’t help with the time change getting the little ones out into the cold and they were still sleepy
I bet. I remember when my kids were little this spring time change was hard on them.
waking them up didn’t go over well.
I adore Eau Fraîche, it epitomizes spring, I give a bottle to my MIL every year for Mother’s day, it’s become her signature scent.
I’m with your kids, it took me forever to wake up today!
I feel like chance and its flankers don’ t get a lot of love. I haven’t smelled some in awhile but feel like Eau Fraîche is perfect for those days when you want something up lifting.
Love that one, you smell great
me too!
Chance Eau Fraiche is rather pretty. A good pick for spring. ??????
Poor babies, and poor mama! You smell great, though. ?
Yeah, this time change really wreaks havoc on my sleep schedule. I tried to go to bed early last night but couldn’t fall asleep and then when my alarm went off this morning I just wanted to keep sleeping.? It’ll take me all this week to recover I’m sure.
I’m in Lea.
Had a test via zoom this morning which always makes me stressed, but now it’s done and I can just relax for the rest of the day. It’s overcast here and we may get some of that white stuff (I’m not gonna actually say the word) that I don’t like to see in March. I was really liking the spring like weather we were having.
1″-3″ predicted here in northern IL. ???At least 50s are expected for the weekend/official onset of spring.?
I honestly don’t even know how much is predicted here. I figure if I ignore it, it’ll go away, right?? Yes, back to the 50’s and sunny by the weekend here too.???
Oddly enough, I’m waking up earlier than usual, rather than wanting to stay in bed. Go figure.
Lucky you! Your body was more ready for the time change than mine was, I’m gonna be dragging by the end of the day.
Not really. I’m tired; I just keep waking up too early and not able to fall back asleep. Darn it.
I’m getting some of “that word” too.
Yeah, it was really coming down heavy for awhile!?
Hope you were able to get some rest and relax this afternoon.
Brutally cold today (windy and -20°C) and I’m still slightly discombobulated from the time change (*why* won’t they get rid of that archaic practice?) so I’m wearing a tiny tiny drop of warm comforting Youth-Dew, which, like Poison, is best appreciated in quantities about the size of a pinhead. Any more than that and I find it a bit nauseating, but if you can keep it under control, it’s so good.
I lived in Arizona for a year and one of the many things I loved about it was their refusal to entertain this time change nonsense.
I started a list this morning of things that need to go away. First up is Daylight Savings Time. Second is leaf blowers. Those two might switch positions occasionally. I’m starting early on the CP with Ouis Plus!
I’ll sign that petition!
Also cold and discombobulated today. You smell great.
Freezing and windy, again!?.
Wearing L’Artisan Bois Farine, which is matching deliciously with the anise wafting from my coffee.
Happy and safe Monday, everyone! ?
Excellent food-choice!
2nd that.
Thanks!
Sounds yum!
You seem to enjoy L’Artisan, do you care for Mimosa Por Moi?
L’Artisan is one of my favorite houses. And I love Mimosa pour Moi!
Cloudy with rain moving in. Wearing L’Artisan Violaceum. Wishing you all a good week!
And to you Cazaubon!
have a good week as well!
Hope you don’t have to deal with too much rain.
I started out wearing the last of a mini of Infusion d’Iris, which may have gone bad. I noticed that it had some particulates in it, and it doesn’t smell of anything in particular. I have some Demeter Honey in my desk drawer, so I’ve applied that. Much better. And it works with the CP.
How is Demeter Honey? Is it a good layering scent?
Wishing the spring weather would return in Gucci Bloom.
It’s a weird day. While we’ve had students in buildings in a staggered fashion since November, today, Amy student who wants to return four days a week in person can do so while the others Zoom. I’m glad to have more kids back, but the energy in the building is odd. Everyone is anxious about something.
I have a fragrant package coming today, though: my order of Eau de Sens is out for delivery!
yay for your package
Great get on the Sens! Pretty for spring as well.
I am also experiencing that weird “building full of anxious people” vibe – our school board has announced that they’re making an announcement tomorrow. Can’t they just make the announcement and skip a step?
You smell great!
It’s a bureaucracy, so the short answer to that question is NO. A longer answer is, “Not only are we unable to answer a question quickly and clearly, but we’ll add on several more intermediate steps, so that we can feel like we’re doing something that might justify our existence. And there will be meetings. Many, many meetings.”
That kind of announcement just makes me fret for 24 hours! I hope the announcement is good when it comes.
Ugh, it’s cold, the time change is wreaking havoc in my life, and I’m already having a topsy-turvy week. I would like to go back to bed now and have a do-over, please.
Wearing Jil Sander #4, since such a strong scent works fine in the cold weather. At least I smell good…
you always smell good!
The No4 is good, but potent…
I adore Jil Sander #4 – you smell marvelous!
I wore JS4 daily throughout the 90s and early 00s – it is gorgeous indeed, but because of such long association I have trouble wearing it now. Still have a little bit left in the last bottle and occasionally sniff the sprayer for the nostalgia.
Waving my magic wand for a do-over. I almost missed 11am church (via livestream) yesterday and I had a hard time waking up this morning!
Frustrating that it is cold again (it had been pretty warm here for a while) during the time change. Makes it so tough!
Oh Balkis, such a beauty, and so easy to wear.
My SOTD is Thé cachemire by Dior. Very nice, but I don’t deel any urge to buy it as I already own Thé Vert by Bvlgari.
Money saved! I need to buy the Bvlgari blue tea, and try the black tea.
This one almost feels like a mix of Thé Vert and Thé blanc.
I like Thé Bleu but can never make up my mind whether I need a bottle.
I haven’s tried the Thé Noir either, even though I seem to remember I have a sample of it, somewhere.
I need a 15 ml spray of the Bleu.
Good morning! It is sunny but cold here, and there are evil wind gusts that won’t seem to quit. What the heck happened to those 60 degree temps we had last week?!? Massive *sigh*.
I totally welcome any and all efforts to end the time change. It’s stupid and useless.
99% sure that I will be in Dia Woman today, unless I change my mind at the last minute when I get dressed, in which case I will let y’all know what I went with on tomorrow’s post.
@Robin, did you manage to get a look at the new Levi’s collection at Target, either in store or online? The Target by me has a good selection of their offerings, and some of the stuff is really cute.
Dia woman is lovely.
Looked online — very tempted by the stoneware stuff, especially the blue reactive glaze serving pieces.
Did you buy anything? And if you saw any of the stoneware dishes in person, do tell me if they were as nice as they look online!
They did have some of the stoneware dishes, like the serving platters, and a mid size serving bowl, I thought they looked quite pretty, well made and nice and sturdy. Their pillow selection was nice, too. I am tempted to purchase one of the lumbar pillows for hanging out on the couch and channel surfing. They even have a cute patchwork teddy bear, lol! And everything is supposed to be made from sustainable materials and quite affordable. It’s a nice little collection. 🙂
Thanks Gategirl! The pillows are cute, I looked at those too. I might get a platter, we’ll see if I can get over there.
Boozy chocolate in Gourmand Coquin.
Looking back over some journal writing this time last year and wow, was I clueless on what this pandemic meant. Also, have an email from our CEO saying we’d be back in the office in 2 weeks’ time. Still all WFH and no update on when we might go back.
Looking forward to seeing the spring flowers bloom once again…
Tomorrow would be the one year anniversary for me. I’m thinking we’ll be back in July and not everyday either.
Seriously — I remember very well thinking ok, we’ll have to be careful for the next month or so. Ha!
And adding, in retrospect, I am VERY glad I did not know. It was already not a good time for me since my dad had just passed, and I probably would have fallen to pieces. It was easier the way it was, always thinking “soon”.
Yes, I looked back retroactively as well. I have the same email from the boss saying we’ll be back in two weeks.
She was shocked when I brought in a doctor’s note (dated 3/12/20) excusing me from work until December 2020.
Mr. Jalapeno’s return to the office has been delayed yet again to June.
It’s surreal to me to look back on old emails etc. Been a crazy year for sure.
Still in Lyric today and about to get into the shower. Going to get my corned beef and cabbage to make mine of Wednesday. Would rather do it today instead of tomorrow. I was thinking of going the Shalimar route today since it’s chilly out.
Oh, thank you for the reminder…forgot SPD is this week!
Yes for Shalimar. I think I’ll wear it tomorrow.
Musc 25 today. Think I may do a week of Le Labo. Or not. We’ll see if I’m still in that mood on Wednesday.
I could do 5 days of Le Labo, easy! But yes, you have to be in the mood.
I have only ever tried like 1 or 2 Le Labo. Definitely need to explore more.
Cold here too, but absolutely gorgeous outside! I’m in the dregs of the IA Memoirs of a Trespasser spritzed at bedtime last night. That one is long-lived, even with only one spray divided between my two wrists. Lovely stuff. Not sure what I’ll choose post-shower … having toast with butter and honey with my coffee, and that’s gourmand enough for me!
You smell wonderful, that one is in my top ten for sure.
More new Soivohle reviews: Black Coffee Embellishing Oil is exactly what is says on the label. For people looking for a coffee scent, try this!! Haitian Vetiver Embellishing Oil was rather grassy and green, not really smoky or “oily”.
Yum! They sent me a tiny vial of bourbon geranium embellishing oil when I bought Paracelsus, and I haven’t been sure what to do with it. Just apply to pulse points as with extraits?
One of the suggested uses is a body oil, so maybe on really dry body parts? Or try a couple of drops into an unscented lotion?
I remember that Viktor & Rolf had some oils they were selling alongside Flowerbomb a little while back. Those were note enhancers.
Do you have any perfumes that could use a bourbon geranium note?
I’ll have to do some investigation! But first, I think I’d better try it “neat” to get an idea of its character. 🙂
“… what IT says”. Time for new glasses!
Oh, interesting! Is it a silicone-based dry oil?
Nope!
https://soivohle.net/embelishing-oils
SOTD is SL Feminite du Bois, from the decants of SarahN. So warm and cinnamon-y. I get the fruit, but wouldn’t be able to identify it specifically as plum without having read about it. I like that the sandalwood and cedar underlying it all are not bone dry. If this is sheer by comparison, the Shiseido version must have been quite commanding!
Grumpy this morning. Mostly because of the time change, but also because of an unnecessarily early conference call and the drop in temperature after what seemed like a true start to spring. Trying to boost my mood with a pot of Fortnum & Mason Christmas Black tea. My favorite, but it has to be rationed to last until next Christmas, so it is an indulgence. The spices compliment the FdB well.
You smell gorgeous! FdB is exquisite stuff.
At least this cold snap is supposed to be a brief one. But it’s still annoying!
Grumpy twins and mainly for the same reasons lol.
Scherrer EdT from a mini I got from somewhere…. I like this a lot. Just a classic green chypre, feels very fresh and elegant too.
You smell so elegant.
Hello!
Colder again here…I haven’t yet put on a fragrance for the day — that might be a bedtime thing. I have various samples and small bottles of chocolate-scented fragrances. The possibility is strong that I’d be craving chocolate at bedtime if I put one of those on at night, but as I’ve mentioned, almost anything can make me crave chocolate anyway. lol!
Nice to see you, neyronrose! ?
Hi! Have a good week! 🙂
It is 50 degrees out. I can’t seem to get warmed up today.
It was more like 30 F around here. I dug out my big winter coat again, and my big scarf and trapper’s hat. I’ve been very glad we found a new coat for me.
How successful have you been in wearing gourmand fragrances around your scent-sensitive family members?
The vanilla scents in higher concentrations are too much for Mom, and Dad starts coughing in what seems to me like a pretty random way in reaction to some fragrances. I’m sure there’s a pattern to what he’s allergic to or that sets off his chronic bronchitis, but I haven’t figured out what those ingredients are. Dad did get his second COVID vaccine shot last week. That was a relief, because he has those underlying respiratory conditions.
I didn’t end up wearing a perfume per se, but I put lots of cocoa butter lotion on my hands and arms on Monday morning, and then the Avojuice Mango lotion at night. 🙂
Inadvertently in this week’s theme, in 5 O’Clock au Gingmbre.
Serendipitous choice, you smell great!
The weekend ended way too soon, don’t you think!?
I’m wearing Orris Tattoo today. There’s so little liquid left in my sample that I should probably call it a thunk but I don’t want to admit that I finished it because I want moooaaar!!
Moooaaaarrrrr of Orris Tattoo would be good. It’s one of my favorite irises.
Yes! I wish a smaller bottle was available… or I might split a bottle in a couple of months.
Starting the week with full CP points in Angel Liqueur. It smells wonderful! It’s chilly and very gusty and blustery here with warnings of “mixed precipitation,” which will at least melt quickly. Getting ready to make a big pot of chili.
I live in Indiana which has opted out of DST since it began but starting participating in 2006. I absolutely despise it and feel off balance for days in the spring, it would be great to see it disappear. Thanks for linking to that eye opening article, Robin.
Wow, 2006 is so late in the game — why’d they start then? Right when other places were talking about getting rid of it? (Although hey, here we still are.)
Good (late) morning all! The time change did not agree, I slept until 9am! 😯 but I need to listen to my body when it tells me to rest.
I think I might do a week of Chanel, my SOTD is Allure EdP – oh do I adore this scent! Perfect for a blustery day and such a pretty rose scent that hits all the right spots, warm, rosy, slightly sweet, powdery.
I’m on my third cup of coffee, this time it’s espresso. I need to wake up.
Allure is great, one of my pre-rabbit hole purchases I wore in my youth!
Same for me. I wore Allure in high school. Funny because it seemed like such a grown up perfume.
can I join you on your Chanel week..
I think I have enough!
Yes! Please do!
Good call on listening to your body’s need for sleep. ?
You smell wonderful and like my mama (which is a wonderful thing!)! Allure is her signature fragrance. She has the edp and the edt. 🙂
Wearing Le Labo Ylang 49, what a powerhouse!
The name Dido is interesting, I’ve never met anyone with that name.
my son missed the bus today, so I drove him to school and went right to work after, early than I usually would missing my morning coffee, I drank old coffee that sat all weekend, I’m suffering now for my stupidity. I blame time change for this and all things.
Oh no, I hope things improve!
I keep a few packets of that powdered coffee at my desk for such emergencies. My colleagues know the safety implications for everyone if I don’t have my coffee….
I just went to the store and ate a banana and yogurt and I’m feeling better. I also look picked up some Bustelo instant crystals, great idea!
Bustelo, for when you have those ‘coffee emergencies’ at work! ? ?
I used to have a tape of Derek Jacobi reading aloud the Aeneid. I would listen to it on my commutes. When I got to the scene where Dido dies, I sobbed so hard I could barely see to drive. I had one of him doing the Odyssey too. Wish I still did.
? wow, that is a powerful recommendation of the book and reader, I will add it to my list!
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. Coffee makes me have bad reactions sometimes even when it’s fresh! Rush of adrenaline and anxiety.. I’m switching to tea that also improves my concentration but in a more focused way.
Dido is a really nice name with historical roots (queen of Carthago). There is a solo singer with that name who was very famous about 15 years ago, she has beautiful songs!
Ew, that old coffee sounds like bad news! I hope your insides can forgive you for consuming it.
Yeah, what was I thinking? Sounds like something a hobo would do, maybe. ?♀️
Feel free to blame the time change for all things for the next several days haha.
SOTD = Aftelier Vanilla Smoke Extrait
In what seems like forever, I finally thunked the 2mL carrier. I will refill in though as I have 6mLs more of this beauty: vanilla, tea and tonka!
https://www.instagram.com/p/CMcmXqah5Qn/?igshid=q0x6nw1sd2bz
I received 2 perfumes packages today, one of which is Providence Perfume Co. Irisque; I will open the package tomorrow. I am still awaiting my Beautyhabit package which contains the L’AP Coeur Vanille – can’t wait!
Question:
Have you tried Aftelier Forest Bathing? Which formulation SNF what do you think. I haven’t yet. Thanks.
I sampled Vanilla Smoke and was left on the fence, how do you like it?
The extrait is wonderful – love it! The EDP smells like band-aid.
For a smoky vanilla, I love Mona di Orio’s Vanille. It’s so gorgeous. I also had the Oud and Musk, from her first releases. I blew through all those bottles quickly.
Seconding the Mona di Orio Vanille love SmokeyToes! it’s my all favourite vanilla (Shalimar aside). But to me it does not smell smoky, rather boozy and gently spiced. And not sickly sweet as some vanillin-laden vanillas can be (if that makes sense!)
OH wow, I would totally love the boozy and gentle spice!
Did you try the J. Crew Arquiste No. 57 before they discontinued it? That has a great spicy/boozy/vanilla note!
I third the MdO Vanille!
To reply to your question of last night: Yes, Mr. Jalapeno has a sister that lives in Colorado. She’s the one who has been keeping him informed about their mother’s situation. He’s determined to go out there come hell or high water.
Good luck then!
You smell super good. I only had a little tiny bit of that a while back but I loved it.
Beware the Ides of March. Julius Caesar is probably my favorite Shakespeare play.?
Trying Orpheon on skin today…previously just tried on a scent strip. Sweet, powdery floral w/ woods is what I got previously.
Have to try mine also – I think I’ll probably like it.
So, yes or no on the Orpheon?
Overall I find it kind of boring. 😉 I get sweet powder w/ flowers in the opening then a woody floral drydown but it’s not very exciting to my nose…something about it reminds me of old school Lauren perhaps though I haven’t smelled that one in decades so that may just be a scent memory association in my brain and not accurate. I say boring fully realizing many would not find my 1001 vanillas exciting either…eye of the beholder and all that. 🙂
Thanks so much!
Late check-in but here at last…..
Enjoying one of my latest purchases: Lancome Hypnôse! I’ve wanted this one for a while, but waited until I had some Belk Rewards and a Lancome bonus offer!
I sprayed at 8am and it’s still going strong at 2pm….Good vanilla and passionflower stuff going on! 🙂
Well played!
I smell like spiced cookies and cola in Smell Bent Elf-Fulfilling Prophecy. Thunked the little decant I’ve had for years and will move on to the fresh bottle I bought in December.
I’m not nearly as tired today as I was expecting to be, so I’m not as mad at the time change as I usually am. But we’ll see how the rest of the week goes…
Now I want ginger-spice cookies.
Good morning all! I’ve decided on SL Chypre Rouge today. The weather is cooling down, but I’m desperate to wear summer dresses for a little while longer, so I’m looking at “in-between” perfumes.
Gaynor, I am so desperate for summer dress weather (not that I’m likely to put on a dress) that I know how you feel 🙂
Clinique Blue Sky Neroli.
I wanted to wear something light because I went to dentist today for a crown. I am about to take a tylenol because whatever pain killer the dentist used is starting to wear off 🙁
Oh no! I need to get one soon, but I’m chicken.
Ugh! Hope that tylenol kicked in for you!
Empathise with those of you who struggle with the time change, here and in the rest of Europe it will take place in two weeks which seems more humane somehow.
Wearing RP Visa.
Really, that seems more humane? Why?
(Not disputing, I just don’t understand. I don’t think I would like DST no matter when they did it.)
I’m guessing it’s because the sunrise will be earlier by that point, so it won’t be as dark in the morning.
I should have clarified, sorry, it may be just me but it’s because, two weeks later there is a little more daylight in the morning, I hate getting up in the dark most of all.
Thanks both. I do not get up so early in the morning so that part does not even matter to me, but I can see why it would matter to someone else.
I just find that my body does not readjust to time changes as easily as it used to. I want them to pick something and stick to it 🙂
Wearing vintage Vol de Nuit edt.
I started some pepper and tomato seeds yesterday; this is the first time starting seeds indoors so I will learn as I go. The tomatoes are for my father in law, so I hope I don’t disappoint him. I may keep a couple if they turn out ok!
Yay for baby plants and veggies!
Yes! As kids we always had a garden in the backyard that my Dad did. Such a great memory!
The day’s almost done, but I’m still struggling with the time change, and the return to winter. Cannot get warm! Started the day in No 19 to focus my thoughts but probably should have tried something warmer and more comforting. I’m focused but freezing! Maybe a cup of vanilla tea will help.
Freezing twins. Just can’t get warm today.
Yes to a cup of vanilla tea! Maybe even two.
More snow…ugh!
Chatting about the Oscar nominations (the best group in a while, despite nobody watching any movies last year) and making calls to moving services. Getting a head start on the gourmand theme with Prada Candy.
Sorry about your snow!
And glad to hear they picked good movies this year. I don’t even pay attention anymore, usually it’s all stuff I don’t care about.
I’m in a gourmand scent for the cp today: Tyrannosaurus Rex.
😉
At first I thought….whaaaa? Then I spied the wink. ?
I had to wait a long time for anyone to get the joke! Lol!
I’m wearing Pamplemousse Rose again today, I’m about 3/4 done with the little sample atomizer. I went sniffing over the weekend. No Tobacolor here until mid-April, but I did get a sample of Le Lion, tried Kilian Roses on Ice (much cucumber, the rose showed up late, and I never got any juniper). My Thursday flight back to SFO is delayed because the crew won’t have sufficient rest by the scheduled takeoff time, but if I’m late I will miss my next flight to Portland. United wait times have been 2+ hours as everybody scrambles to reschedule Denver and Wyoming due to their weather. Calling to see if they will hold the departure of the Portland flight; if not, I’m probably leaving Wednesday. First world problems for sure.
Thanks for the brief review of Roses on Ice. That’s one less lemming to keep track of.
Good luck with the flights foxbins!
Balkis sounds really good Robin! Iris, rose, benzoin… I may need to find a sample.
I was in Angelique Noire today. Favourite herbal vanilla.
Cicely it is long discontinued, so I wouldn’t bother…no sense lemming something you can’t have!
Oh what a shame! They always discontinue the best perfumes. Thanks Robin.
First Monday after Daylight Savings Time begins is a rough one. It’s cold and windy, too. Waiting for the leftovers from the big storm that walloped Colorado and Wyoming. But it’s going to be rain, not snow.
SOTD = Mon Guerlain EdT, again. There’s enough vanilla in here to be considered a gourmand, too. ?
You smell wonderful!
Thank you! Mon Guerlain is perfect for late winter/early spring.
Hooray for Mon Guerlain EDT!
Got the first shot this weekend, friends. Cried afterwards because the weight of the past year hit me and I felt tremendous relief. I know there’s a long way to go, but getting the shot really hit me hard. Hopefully I’ll be able to see my mom and aunt soon.
Wearing Kalemat Arabian Oud today. It’s drizzling rain and spitting snow….soooo ready for warm weather.
Congrats on getting your first shot!
I feel ya KellyC. I got vaccinated in January and my parents were able to get vaccinated in Florida in February. Can’t wait to HUG them when they come back home the end of next month!?
I hope you can see your mom and aunt soon too!!
When I got my first shot, I thanked the pharmacist about ten times. It was such a relief to know that soon I won’t have to be afraid of getting sick.
Congrats on getting the first vax! Hoping for better days ahead!
When they announced back at the end of last year that they had a vaccine the tears welled up! What also struck me was how fortunate we are to have the vaccines, cures and treatments that were discovered over the last century that we don’t think about. Thank you to modern medicine!
Hugs to you. It hit me the next day and I sobbed for a while. Man, this has been a rough year.
I had a mini meltdown after my first shot too.
Such a long hard year.
It’s good to cry it out.
I got the first vaccine shot this morning, which is my good news! ?I’m chilly and a bit sleepy, but the sleepiness may be from the time change.
My not so good news is that I fell again last week and re-broke a finger. Second serious fall in six months, so it’s time to dig deeper and find out if there’s a medical reason for this. I’ve been upset about it, but have a drs appointment this Friday and will start down that path.
I’m in Nemat Vanilla Musk, a fragrance oil I found at WF. It’s quite comforting and great as a bedtime scent. ?
Yay for your first shot, but Oh NO on the fall and resulting finger damage. You’re right in seeing the doctor about it.
Congratulations on the shot but sorry about your fall. Comfort scents are just what we need some days!
I’m so sorry about your fall. Falling as an adult is scary and especially as one ages. I hope they will be able to help identify what’s going on. That’s great you got your vaccination! Which one? Hope no bad side effects ensue. I’m getting my second one on Weds! Very excited. Get some rest, now.
I got the Moderna, but honestly would have taken whatever was on offer. If all I feel is sleepy from it, I’ll be happy!
That’s so great you’re getting your second on Wednesday! Hopefully it will be uneventful. Did you have issues with the first shot?
No, I had the Pfizer. My arm was very sore, and I felt extremely tired, but then I often do. So who knows?
Yay for the shot, but I’m so sorry to hear you fell again! I hope you can get some answers when you see the doctor.
I’m so sorry about the fall! Glad you’re going to see someone about it, that seems wise.
Yay, we’re first shot twins! But hugs about the fall.
In non-perfume news, I recently bought a mushroom growing kit on-line. A friend had one and I was just fascinated. After ten days of missing up the substrate and dirt and then misting it, I’ve got tiny pinheads of baby mushrooms today! I’m excited! The big challenge I forgot to anticipate is keeping the whole setup cool enough. It’s just too warm here already! It’s supposed to produce Cremini and morel mushrooms!
Ooooh, I always wanted one of those kits! Keep us posted on your results!
I will. My friend was going sort of crazy and asking for recipes because he wound up with so many mushrooms. The thought of that boggles my mind!
I’m having a hard time imagining that, too! Sauteed mushrooms find lots of uses in my house. So does duxelles.
What fun!
ooohhh that sounds like a fun project.
