The daily lemming(s)

Posted by Robin on 2 December 2020 10 Comments

If you happen into Galeries Lafayette this week, please pick me up one of these pretty vintage-ish soap tins from Portuguese Brazilian brand Granado. Coffret de Savons Limão & Néroli features four 90g soaps scented with Tahitian lime and neroli, currently on markdown for €24.50.

Or if you like, pop over to one of the Granado stores in Paris or Lisbon and just get me the same scent in the Eau de Toilette layering set that also features the brand's Sândalo, two x 25 ml for €40.

Robin, just a correction, Granado is a brazillian brand, not a portuguese one

Their soaps are really good and the tin foil boxes are lovely in person. The scents are not bad too, the edts lean more towards a classic cologne style

I assumed that given that it looks like mostly a body products brand. But the packaging on the EdTs is also lovely!

They also invest a lot in fragrances Robin. They have colognes, edts and edps. The edp collection is more complex and interesting and the edt collection more classic and fresh (mostly, because recently they launched an oud and a leather fragrance in the edt collection as well).

Granado is a great brand – their ‘Erva-Doce’ (fennel) glycerin soap or liquid soap is one of my can’t live without bathroom staples. Their Odor de Rosas is still the only soap my father uses. Oh – and they do refills! (why don’t more brands???)

They also have a perfume range which I would classify as “cheap and cheerful”.

I own the mini trio of herbal colognes (mint, thyme and basil) which are refreshing on hot days and have that a brazilian “freshly washed” scent about them. The ‘Bahia’ scent is worth checking out, reminiscent of Bronze Godess but with coconut water instead of coconut cream.

Maybe you’ve noticed, I’m a fan of this brand ? Ther have a european site if anyone is interested: https://en.granado.eu/
