Karl Lagerfeld New York, Mercer Street & Paris, 21 Rue Saint-Guillaume ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 1 October 2020 1 Comment

Karl Lagerfeld has launched New York, Mercer Street and Paris, 21 Rue Saint-Guillaume, two fragrances in the new Places By Karl collection.

The new fragrance collection Places By Karl traces Karl Lagerfeld's travels to his favorite places around the world.

New York, Mercer Street ~ A woody citrus developed by perfumer Aliénor Massenet. "Karl saw New York as the centre of the fashion world, a leading city filled with some of his favourite spots. He loved Mercer Street in particular, where flowers floated down from the emergency stairwells, filling the air with the scent of Jasmine and Geranium. This perfume captures the metropolitan version of Eden in a single bottle, an olfactory celebration of flourishing city life. Opening with the citrus blend of Pepper, Basil, Lemon and Mint, the fragrance invigorates the senses and uplifts the spirit. Slowly but surely, the cologne moves into the floral heart, taking the mind on an olfactive journey through a blossoming garden. Geranium is seamlessly blended with Jasmine, delicate and hopeful hues that enliven the fragrance. Finally, the powerful base takes control, punctuated with woody and musky notes that mellow the scent."

Paris, 21 Rue Saint-Guillaume ~ A floral chypre developed by perfumer Emilie Coppermann. "Bask in a utopia of radiant florals with the Karl Lagerfeld Paris 21 Rue Saint-Guillaume Eau de Parfum. Inspired by the magic of private Parisian gardens, this timeless fragrance is an empire of fresh flower bouquets, flecked with rich woody accords for a warm, kindling finish. Dazzling top notes of Grapefruit and Mandarin refresh the senses, opening the fragrance with a dash of charm and elegance. Flourishing from the centre, Rose, Jasmine and Gardenia entwine their intoxicating aromas, unleashing a thrilling luminosity that enchants the spirit. Patchouli and Sandalwood ignite the base, interweaving with the silky-smooth scent of Musk for a rich, seductive shift. Soft, earthy and clear, the enticing end notes create texture as they fuse seamlessly with glistening floral accords."

Karl Lagerfeld New York, Mercer Street and Paris, 21 Rue Saint-Guillaume are available in 60 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Pink and blue, really? Out of respect for Massenet, I can only hope these won’t be as conventional as they appear.
