Lalique Plume Blanche ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 17 September 2020 8 Comments

Lalique will launch Plume Blanche, a new addition to the luxury Noir Premier collection, with packaging inspired by a René Lalique illustration.

Glowing as a jewel. Light as a feather. Silky as a breeze. Plume Blanche turns the sinuous elegance of a white peacock’s train into scent.

Verdant violet leaf, zesty cardamom, sparkling mandarin and vibrant pink pepper add a pop of color to this iridescent accord in the top notes. With its cinnamon and vanilla facets, benzoin resin brings its golden ivory tones. An ebony backdrop of smooth tonka bean and patchouli makes this opalescent palette even more radiant. So just go ahead: be proud as a peacock.

Plume Blanche was developed by perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni. Additional notes include almond leaves, jasmine, heliotrope, musks and cedar.

Lalique Plume Blanche will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Ordinarily I’m put off by perfume ad copy, but this one really sounds nice to me. I like the use of the words “opalescent” and “iridescent” in the description. And the violet leaf is appealing to me too. I just wore Sara Horowitz Untitled #3 yesterday and rediscovered the beauty of violet leaf in scent.

I have had good luck with Lalique perfumes, and am also a sucker for opalescence, translucence, pearlescence, iridescence…….

I have not tried any of these and admit my ears did not really perk up…maybe I need to read it again 😉

The name and bottle sold me before I even read about it. This line is pretty expensive though, even when discounted.

I’m quite fond of Lalique perfumes. This entire Noir collection sounds good and I’d like to sample each one… but the prices rival Chanel les Exclusives! (I’ve already got several of those.) The bottles for this collection are beautiful, but I’m more interested in the fragrance. Are there “reliable” discounters in Europe? I can’t imagine that a newly-released scent is available through discounters.

Some of this line can be found discounted at fragrancebuy.ca, last time I checked. Maybe perfume.com too.
