The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 20 August 2020 19 Comments

Just in case you've got an extra €10,000 laying around, here for your consideration is the (1 liter!) 100th anniversary edition of Guerlain Eau de Fleurs de Cedrat, done up by artist Anne Brun, with French native plants gilded in palladium. 29 were made, and due to launch in October — I'll take two!

Geez, a liter? And here I was wishing more scents came in 15ml bottles. **not the target audience**

I think I cannot afford even a 15 ml that’s been gilded in palladium 🙂

A perfect way to make the average Guerlain bee bottle look like a stonking bargain

You are subscribing to hajusuuri’s perfumath ? – you didn’t buy it, therefore, you saved. Whatever you saved from not buying can be used towards other stuff! Perfumagic!

I’m afraid it is the math I use for just about all purchases 🙂

Time to being back the guillotine! Some people are just plain too rich!

I have to say I think over the top things like this are almost obscene.
Truthfully eliminate the “ almost”. It IS obscene.

Really? Not necessarily putting this bottle at the same level, but a lot of the most beautiful works of Craft & art were produced at the behest of very rich people. Without rich people blowing lots of money we wouldn’t have Faberge eggs, Chippendale furniture, Robert Adam architecture, most of the artworks produced over the past few hundred years etc. It wasn’t the farmer down the road who commissioned Titian or Leonardo Da Vinci – it was very rich people. Many would say that the pricing/purchasing of ALL perfume is ‘obscene’ given the poverty that exists in many parts of the world !

This needs to have a “Bottle Porn” tag attached to it. ? It’s quite stunning.

A way for perfumistas to hedge against a possible rare earth shortage? 😉

Pfft…I would rather spend that €10,000 on a few bottles of Cormandel and Lonestar Memories.
