Lacoste Match Point ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 28 July 2020 4 Comments

Lacoste has launched Match Point, a new fragrance for men.

Match Point fragrance: when emotion propels you to action. Breathe in the thrilling freshness of this new masculine Eau de Toilette by Lacoste, an explosive fusion of two contrasting accords. The green energy of basil and gentian bitterness combine in a breathtaking freshness. The thrilling black elegance of woody vetiver brings strength and intensity.

Additional notes for the woody aromatic fragrance include pink pepper, clary sage and cashmeran.

Lacoste Match Point is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

This sounds pretty nice, especially with the addition of gentian. I guess they use the root of the plant – similar to a gentian aperitif? Something like Suze , maybe?

Did you try the Hermes, Eau de Gentiane Blanche? (Although I did not like it, too clean.)

But no idea what they use — I drink several liqueurs with gentian and never even thought about which part of the plant they were using. I’m sure you’re right it’s the root.

No, I have never tried the Hermes but I am tempted to take the easier option and search out a liqueur in the bottle shop down the road. I keep meaning to post you some tea. It will happen one day – when you least expect it, expect it!

That is my favorite time to expect things! But if it’s that NZ oolong do save the trouble, because I bought some, on Amazon in the US of all places.
