I posted a link to these on Twitter yesterday, but here's a better shot: the KFC fried chicken Crocs, complete with (removable) fried chicken scented "Jibbitz" (those embellishment thingies that look like drumsticks). They go on sale Tuesday at the Crocs site, and are bound to sell out immediately. $59.99, with $3 going to the REACH Educational Grant Program. WEll, I must say that I find this totally disgusting, even if it is for a good cause.

When Robin they “are bound to sell out immediately,” I almost fell over. To each his own of course, but I can think of better ways to spend $60. Like, going towards a perfume purchase. ?
At least part of the proceeds are being directed to a good cause, but honestly, I’m really suspicious of the “good causes” these days. Where is the money REALLY going…? ?

Nearly every gross collaboration like this seems to sell out immediately — and KFC does lots of these!
Mind you, I imagine they carefully decide how many they can make so they’ll sell out on day 1. Most of the point is getting tons of social media attention, and they’ve already done that here.

I used to work at Crocs headquarters in Colorado. But even for them this is pretty weird. Can’t say I find it appealing.
I just checked out the links to other scented shoes and realized that I don’t get the concept of scented shoes at all lol.
