In case you didn't love the "regular" crystal limited edition of Lalique de Lalique for 2020, here's another chance to drop a tidy sum on the fragrance: a new Hirondelles bottle in blue, for the 100th anniversary of Réné Lalique’s villa in Wingen-sur-Mer in France. "Four glassmakers were needed to create the body of the 20ml flacon, from molten crystal, using the soufflé technique. Each flacon is topped with the brand’s signature ‘tiara stopper’ first created in 1913, shaped by five master glassmakers using the pressé technique. They are calling it sapphire, I think — it isn’t sapphire to me but it’s a great color.

It’s very beautiful! But…is molten crystal + souffle method different from just regular old blown glass? Are they just trying to make it sound special?
It doesn’t seem to be the real description of soufflé glass? Galle was a master of this and it involves multiple colored layers, most often opaque. The blue bottle is really pretty but I see no “soufflé” aspect.
