4 from Jardins D’Ecrivains ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 26 May 2020 2 Comments

French niche line Jardins D’Écrivains has launched L'Eau de Taipi, a new fragrance in their series of "splash colognes".* Two more joined the series last year: L'Eau de Tagore and L'Eau de Louÿs. Also new last year, Loy, joining the leather bottle series.

L'Eau de Taipi (exotic water) ~ "A creation inspired by Herman Melville. Sprayed on the body, this exotic cologne is a sensory invitation. A paradisiacal nature composed of Tiare and Frangipani flowers, some Coco and Tamarin sparkles in the heart of a white Musc lagoon. A product that proposes to capture sun in a spray, to create an island in the bathroom, and wrap happiness on the skin!" Additional notes include bergamot, elemi and marine note.

L'Eau de Tagore (guru amber) ~ "Rabindranath Thakur known as Tagore 1861/1941 Indian writer and philosopher. An olfactory offering to celebrate the body. An introspective amber, deliciously mixed with Incense patchouli and cedar."

L'Eau de Louÿs (white musk) ~ "Pierre Louÿs 1870/1925 French poet and writer. The musky skin exhales an object of desire innocently erotic. A wadded and powdery mist composed of white musk, ylang, orchid and moss."

Loy ~ inspired by English poet Mina Loy. "The rose metisse embalm of gurjum, jasmine saffron, vetyver and sandalwood."

Jardins D’Écrivains L'Eau de Taipi, L'Eau de Tagore and L'Eau de Louÿs are available in 300 ml Cologne, €80 each. Loy is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum, €90.

How fun to see an olfactory tribute to Tagore 🙂 As a fellow Bengali, I’ll have to check it out. Though possibly the notes of Loy appeal to me a bit more.

The Loy does sound most promising!
