The (almost) daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 10 April 2020 7 Comments

From Nuxe's new Very Rose collection of cleansing and makeup removing products, the Light Cleansing Foam (there is also Soothing Micellar Water, Moisturising Micellar Water, Creamy Makeup Remover Milk and Refreshing Toner Mist). None of these are in the US yet, but you can find it at Nuxe in France for about €15.

If this were offered in a shower gel, I’d be sorely tempted.

Thank you, Robin. I find Nuxe products for the face too scented, although lovely, otoh I apply their stellar Nuxe Prodigieux oil all over, even on my face from time to time with no problem, and I love its fragrance, so of course, I adore Nuxe Prodigieux le Parfum, to me it is what Terracotta should have been and isn’t quite.

I usually want facial products unscented, but I spray rosewater on my face anyway 🙂

Most French skincare is overly scented and for me, that’s a no-no. I’m with Robin, unscented skincare for me although curiously, I did once have quite the addiction to the Rose hydrosol from NYC’s Enfleurage boutique. Robin, I think you’d love it.

True, although Uriage, Bioderma, Avène and La Roche Posay do offer unscented options.
I prefer my skincare to be unscented as well, but then again the Nuxe rose scented skin cleaning milk is so nice and just smells so good!

I actually love (some) scented skincare products. I’ve switched over to pretty much using exclusively asian products, and one thing I like is their use of perfumery in skincare. It’s a very different take from a lot of western lines that use fragrance to make products smell “natural.” Some Korean lines go straight-up “perfume.”
