Carner Barcelona Dream Collection ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 28 February 2020 3 Comments

Spanish niche brand Carner Barcelona has launched the Dream Collection, with three fragrances: Ibiza Nights, Lukomorie and Marbella.

Ibiza Nights ~ "Ibiza, a Mediterranean island, a paradise come true. From its crystalline waters to its hippie lifestyle and free spirit. The island’s authentic character reveals at sunset, when the sun merges with the horizon… endless nights of music, parties of lights and colors and fun without limits. And you just want to come back, once again and again." With mandarin, pear, star anise, ylang ylang, magnolia, jasmine, vanilla, patchouli and benzoin.

Lukomorie ~ "Just like those tales that made us dream, those stories that made us fantasize on fabulous figures and fun adventur [sic]... Lukomorie Eau de Parfum evokes the innocence of childhood, the imagination of children... and lets us dream again through its sweet notes of caramel, sugar and blackberry." Additional notes include bergamot, lemongrass, grapefruit, pink berries, rose water, ambrette seed, patchouli and musks.

Marbella ~ "Class and style in its purest form: large shining boats lined up in the harbor, dinner and dances bathed in champagne, parades of elegance and tanned people... Marbella. A fruity and aromatic perfume inspired by the sumptuous magnetism of Marbella. Addictive and sophisticated." With pink pepper, blackcurrant, rose, peony, jasmine, green tea, musk, amber and peach.

Carner Barcelona Ibiza Nights, Lukomorie and Marbella are available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Carner usually does a good job, but the colour of these bottles fills me with fears of calonic horridness.

They don’t mention any aquatic notes, so I guess we can hope — but I know just what you mean.

The blue color may be just their signifying “fresher” scents, or maybe the blue glass is intended to protect the juice from light.
