The daily lemming

I don't use bath bombs, and I'm not going to start, but I love looking at them. Lush dropped a bunch of new ones this week (although some of what I'm showing above is old). Tops on my list: Bom Perignon (above left, citrus), Lucky Cat (center, jasmine absolute, neroli & ylang ylang), Blackberry (top right, berry & olibanum), Rose Bombshell Egg (bottom left) and Hi Ho Silver (bottom right, citrus & olibanum). Also worth a peek, Fairy Jasmine, which sounds like Silky Underwear (not shown, jasmine, vetiver & ylang ylang).

A shortcut to stimulate the brain’s olfactory bulb

Posted by Robin on 3 April 2019 2 Comments

Ultimately the researchers plan to create a device that will operate somewhat like a cochlear implant, an electronic device that partially restores hearing.

— A team from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School are trying to build a device that would restore olfaction. Read more at Building a Brain Implant for Smell at Scientific American.
