The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 26 April 2019 2 Comments

Ah, tempting. Narcissus in Perfumery is a new volume from Nez (and there's one about rose, too): "Narcissus, so delicate in its appearance, gives off a fragrance that is heady, complex and bordering on narcotic. Immerse yourself in the world of the Auvergne narcissus across botany, history, art, gastronomy, literature, agriculture, economy and chemistry, not to mention perfume and perfumers. Nez éditions (Nez, the olfactory magazine) has teamed up with Laboratoire Monique Rémy (LMR), the gold standard in natural ingredients for the perfume industry, to present a collection that is unique in the field: The Naturals Notebook. A deluxe, collection-worthy magazine featuring contributions from Éléonore de Bonneval, Jeanne Doré, Will Inrig, Clara Muller and Delphine de Swardt, and photos and illustrations by Amélie Fontaine." 96 pages, $22 at Luckyscent.

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I’m in the indubitably beautiful but very not-me Chanel No. 19, from a vintage decant that has perhaps seen better days, especially in the top notes. Wearing 19 always feels like wearing someone else’s clothes, so I’ve added a dab of Prada Infusion d’Iris Absolue to soften the angles a bit…

An earned media perspective

Posted by Robin on 26 April 2019 Leave a Comment

From an earned media perspective, the campaign generated a flurry of press coverage, including 400 broadcast clips, and dozens of digital placements in cultural outlets such as USA Today, Bustle, Elite Daily, Los Angeles Magazine, and Hello Giggles.

The coverage "helped the brand break through and reach an existing and new consumer base," Levitt said.

— Joshua Levitt of PR firm Canvas Blue explains why Del Taco made an Eau De French Fry soap earlier this year. Both production runs sold out in minutes. Read more at The inside story: Why Del Taco made French fry-scented soap at PR Week.
