Yves Saint Laurent Atlas Garden ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 16 October 2019 4 Comments

Yves Saint Laurent has launched Atlas Garden, a new fragrance in the Le Vestiaire Des Parfums Oriental Collection.

Atlas Garden was inspired by the Jardin Majorelle near Marrakech, purchased and restored by Yves Saint Laurent in the 1980s. The fragrance was developed by perfumer Amandine Clerc-Marie, and features orange blossom, date blossom and tonka bean.

Yves Saint Laurent Atlas Garden can be found at Galeries Lafayette in France, in 75 or 125 ml Eau de Parfum.

I wonder what date blossoms smell like?

In perfume, cherry blossom always smells like cherry, but lighter 🙂

While Saint Laurent was still alive he had three candles and room sprays, one for each of his homes.

His Marocco one was called “Thé à Marrakech” which smelled – to me – like apple and mint. Suitably he wanted light and colling smells around him in a hot climate.

His Paris candle, “Feux de Santal”, was my favourite. Rich and sweet with more opopanax than sandalwood. *sigh*

Feux de Santal sounds wonderful. I use the Diptyque Opoponax candle every winter.
