Am I reading this right that Mugler is suggesting brushing the pen to the hairy part of the wrist like perfumistas do?
Which is the back and which is the front? *Ponders* (I think of them as “top” and “underside”, aka “hair” and “veins.” 😉 )

You know, I have no idea what “back of the wrist” means but google tells me it is not an unusual usage in directions for applying perfume, and I suspect they mean what I call “inside of wrist” or just “wrist” — I put perfume on the top / outside of my hands but never on the top of my wrist.
Do I understand you to be saying that you only wear perfume on your hands at never wrists at all? Or that the only part of the wrist you put it on is the “underside” but not the “top”?

When I am testing something I usually put it on my hands only. That way it does not get on my clothes and it is likely to wash off by the end of the day.
When I am wearing something I already know I like, I often put it on my hands too, but then I usually also put it elsewhere — the back of the forearms, sometimes right on my shirt. But I think in general I have gotten out of the habit of using the wrists (and behind the ears) as a place to put perfume because like most perfumistas I walk around smelling myself and so those locations are not convenient 🙂
I only try perfume on my wrists when I am testing at department stores or boutiques. I don’t like to do that because sometimes the perfume makes my lunch or dinner taste like what I am wearing.
