It is just a shame they didn’t put it in a wingtip oxford or a monk strap loafer. That would still not be monty python level funny, but it would at least be funny.
I feel you would not be surprised to know that Avon did at least two boot-shaped bottles for men’s scents, one smooth and unadorned, one kitsched up to look like embossed or carved leather.
But you may be surprised to know that Jeremy Scott did a fragrance in a sneaker-shaped bottle (with wings on it!) as a collaboration with Adidas. An actual, real thing.

The heel, to me, was worse. The kitschiness reminds me of older Avon bottles.
See, I actually like that bottle, a lot, because it’s not just a shoe, it’s an honest-to-god fetish pump. She really went there with it, and I admire that. It’s Tom Ford’s F*cking Fabulous without the smugness, or Etat Libre d’Orange without the archness. She took outré sex and got it right.
This bottle, though, is just silly.
