French niche line By Kilian has launched Love, Don't Be Shy Rose & Oud, a new flanker to 2007's Love, Don't Be Shy.
Inspiration: LOVE, don’t be shy, receives a limited-edition interpretation for 2019 with Oud, the first in a series of 'Special Blends' highlighting the incredibly rich and diverse facets of oud oil.
Fragrance story: Called the 'Wood of Gods', oud is formed in the trunks of Agar trees where black resin produces a captivating fragrant oil. Like a fine liquor, each year this Agar tree produces a vintage that is then blended to perfection by Kilian Hennessy.
LOVE, don’t be shy Rose & Oud celebrates the floral facet of the original fragrance with the warm, beautiful and iconic Bulgarian Rose. It also unveils a new facet through an intoxicating Oud from Southern Asia. Two oils so celebrated in perfumery for centuries, make the core marshmallow delicacy into a deeper dare to love like its home.

What a random name! Wondering if they will reincarnate the discontinued Rose Oud into this one (almost the entire oud line was silently axed)
Sounds like now we’ll just see oud flankers to much of the line?
I wonder how they can marry these two fragrances. I like Love don’t be shy but I can’t see it working with oud in any shape or form. I never got round to trying the Kilian Ouds, I remember Victoria liked them.
I am becoming less and less interested in this line..after the changes and discontinuations.
