The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 24 April 2019 6 Comments

Chantecaille's once beloved Darby Rose is back in new limited edition packaging: "Drawing in Jeweled Raspberry and crisp Italian Lemon to unfold into a bouquet of femininity, Darby Rose is an ode to Sylvie's favorite intensely fragrant rose. Created using 'headspace' technology which re-creates the exact essence of the flower. Darby Rose is a fresh, modern take on a classic rose scent. A radiant introduction of Jeweled Raspberry and crisp Italian Lemon unfolds into a blossoming bouquet of femininity. Precious Bulgarian Rose mingles with Pink Magnolia and Sweet Osmanthus petals for an alluring touch that underscores the sophisticated base of woody notes. Traces of rare Sandalwood and White Patchouli resonate throughout the scent adding textured warmth and dimension that help bring the stunning Darby Rose to life. The scent was inspired by Sylvie's favorite garden roses and created using headspace technology to capture the exact essence of the flowers from her garden. Packaged in a beautiful Chantecaille x de Gournay limited-edition box." $210 for 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

I have to have this. It was one of my fave rose fragrances in a long time and I was so sad that it was taking off the market. I love that it’s back but sad it is only for a limited time.

I hope that it hasn’t been reformulated.

You know, it says “limited edition box”. It’s not entirely clear if just the outer packaging is LE, or the perfume too? But it’s been gone for years, so if you love it I’d get it while you can 🙂

In the US it is also at Bloomies. I am betting Harrods or Selfridges will get it, or probably anybody else that got her last two (Vetyver Cèdre and Oud Fumé).
