Wearing it for themselves

Posted by Robin on 1 March 2019 5 Comments

I think people who really connect with perfume are wearing it for themselves. People who are in the wider community who wear perfume more offhandedly like an accessory might wear it for different reasons.

I think there’s a mistake in this article – the author references Lampblack (one of my favorites) – but says its by Hans Hendley. I don’t think there are two fragrances named Lampblack.

She might have confused Fume (similar idea) by Hendley with Lampblack by Fazzolari.

Thanks, Robin, I was really wondering, too!

I had originally hoped that Arielle Shoshana would focus on American perfumes, which can be hard to find and try easily, and which seemed apt for the US capital region. Of course, AS has turned out very well with a wider range, but I would still enjoy visiting a shop like this.

I have a feeling the rent at AS (or anywhere in that area) is too high for that kind of specialization? But what I know about retail is just about nothing 🙂
