Whew, Friday is here! And it’s the Buck Moon aka Thunder Moon tonight, plus, it’s a blood moon. Our community project for today: pick your poison for the full moon.

The daily lemming

Aromatic fried garlic-like scent

The scent diffuser will dispense aromatic fried garlic-like scent to mirror the stir-fry flavour of popular local dishes.

Samples are slotted into capsules which are dispensed from the machine through a smart technology activation via EZ-LINK and CPAS card. By tapping the card, consumers can collect and walk away with the free “Knorr Hao Chi” capsule samples. Each capsule comes with a dedicated one-dish recipe that educates consumers on the product usage and more recipes are available by scanning the QR code on the machine.

Aroma M Geisha Botan ~ fragrance review

Just imagine: enchanting peonies, transformed into invisible irezumi to beautify the skin and its surroundings.

This is the introductory line in the press release for Geisha Botan, the newest fragrance from independent perfume house Aroma M.1 This scent is an homage to the peony (“botan” in Japanese) and its cultural significance in Japan and China, where the peony is an auspicious motif and has appeared for centuries in art forms from porcelain and tapestry to printmaking and, yes, traditional tattoos.

The mention of irezumi (tattoos) and these other visual arts is telling, because Botan is much more an artistic interpretation of the peony’s color and texture than a literal recreation of its scent…
