Carven Paris-Santorin ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 18 September 2018 7 Comments

Carven has launched Paris-Santorin, a new addition to the Collection Carven.

An ode to Figue in all the nuances that nature can bring: Paris - Santorin uniquely blends the juicy side of the fruit with its fresh green leaves.

Additional notes include bergamot, pink pepper, iris, immortelle, tonka bean, sandalwood and cashmeran

Carven Paris-Santorin is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

So does this make “Paris – Elsewhere” a trend among houses now? Micro-trend? Mini-naming convention.

I’m not sure how unique the blend of fig (fruit) with its green leaves is, actually — like, maybe talk to Giacobetti and Ellena both? But the notes don’t seem otherwise to have that much in common with Premier Figuier or Jardin En Méditerranée overall.

As trends go, it’s still pretty micro! But yeah, have seen a few over the last couple years 🙂

Partly I’m noticing it more because I’m antsy over lack of access to Paris-Deauville here in Canada … ::whines::

You aren’t missing much, I’m not impressed with the trio.

Having looked again at the “7 from Carven” post linked above (which had, I confess, slipped my mind completely), I now realize that Paris-Santorin is eighth in a series Carven launched a year ago or more. Looks like Chanel is following this micro-trend, rather than starting one.

And now I’ll shut up about this, I swear.

I am pretty sure Carven was not the first either.
