The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 11 June 2018 19 Comments

I would think everyone needs one, right? A Guerlain coffret with 15 ml bottles of Eau de Cologne Impériale, Eau de Cologne du Coq, Eau de Guerlain and Cologne du Parfumeur. About €113 at Guerlain in France.

Those bottles are absolutely divine! And perfect for summer traveling. I hope they smell as good as they look.

That’s their new 15 ml bottle in general. I think most of their fragrances can be purchased in that size in Paris.

This is the best idea ever. Want!

And I already own all 4 of them, in bee bottles, but these are so, so cute.

I do not own Cologne du parfumeur, all the more reason for getting this coffret 😉

I own two of these, so I probably need this set too. 🙂

Now THIS is the type of thing I’d like to see more of from Guerlain! (And from fragrance lines in general) It would be awesome if they did a coffret of 15 ml bottles of their great classics – maybe one Shalimar, one L’Heure Bleue, one Mitsouko, and one…hmmm, can’t decide on the last one! 🙂

Vega! I was going to say Apres L’Ondee, but that’s definitely spray with abandon/full bottle worthy.

No love for Jicky? Or too much to be satisfied with only 15 ml?

Anyone else look at these and automatically think it was a new Hermes collection?

I also wish other lines did this too! I haven’t had the opportunity to sniff any of these, so a hunting I will go!

Yes, before I read I thought it as Hermes from the pic.

Are these unisex, or do they have a definite Male/female vibe?

To my nose, the first 3 are unisex. I have not smelled Cologne du Parfumeur.

    My heart skipped a beat.

I love all of these colognes, plus cute small bottles, if the coffret shows up in the US I’m doomed! 😉

The house has the tradition that each ‘maître’ shall compose one eau de cologne, but in this set they leave out Jacques Guerlain’s (him of all!) 1920 creation L’Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat!! Wasser’s is more of a modern fresh perfume rather than a classic refreshing cologne, so it’s less fleeting, not that hesperidic and really not the same category as the others. I totally understand that they want to include his, but it would have made much more sense not to exclude Jacques Guerlain’s… There is so much inconsistency in their marketing it hurts. Okay, maybe they are still better than many brands, but you really wonder where this recent striving for world domination will lead. Nonetheless, me, too, I welcome these little ones.
