The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 25 May 2018 3 Comments

They don't specifically mention that it will remove all traces of Opium from your favorite sweater – or that it will take a scrubber off your skin — but this new version of All might be worth a shot: "Tapping into consumer insights, the brand found that families want a laundry detergent that not only cleans well and is gentle on skin, but also fights tough odors. In fact, consumers have voiced that the most common and frustrating odor offenders in laundry are sweat (42%) and body odor (39%)*. As a result, the newly expanded free clear line now includes all® free clear Odor Relief, which fights pesky odors and offers a powerful clean, while still being mild enough for sensitive skin, as it is 100% free of dyes and perfumes."

I wonder if the athleisure boom and this perceived problem with laundry odors go hand in hand. Athletic wear will definitely hold onto odors when not washed properly. My guess would be that a lot of people who wear athletic apparel as their day to day wardrobe do not follow the care instructions to a T (less detergent, no fabric softener!) Even though I usually only wear my athletic stuff for working out, I was guilty of this until I found all my workout clothes still stank after washing, or worse yet, seemed ok but then “bloomed” with stench once I got to my workout. I got really serious about figuring out how to wash them and they don’t stink anymore!

This is on my FB list, lol.

Seriously, though, it is self tanning season and i use an old sheet that i fold in half and sleep inside like a dha-and-coconut scented taco to protect my nice sheets. Getting all that scent out (most arent too bad, but after a few nights it can really build up) is important!
