The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 13 April 2018 7 Comments

From Katy Perry, The Geli: "Everyone’s favorite jelly sandals get a scented, tutti fruitti makeover perfect for tropical adventures and beachside cocktails." Available in a variety of fruits (shown are lemon and watermelon; there is also lime, strawberry, cherry, peach and grape). Found via Teen Vogue, who say the shoes "ostensibly smell like the fruits that are pictured next to each toe". Around $49 each directly from Katy Perry, or at Nordstrom, Zappos, Macy's and etc.

I wore the original jelly flats back in Jr HS (I refuse to identify my age) and they made my feet STINK!! Plastic wrapped feet is the only way to describe it LOL Maybe open sandals will be better but this whole concept seems very pre-teen to me. Can’t imagine grown adults wearing fruit smelling shoes.

My guess is that grown adults will wear them.

I have never worn jelly flats and it is probably too late to start now. These did make me smile this morning though!

I remember wearing jelly shoes back in the day, too! Or trying to, at least. The ones I had left little cuts all over my feet.

They cut your feet?? That’s crazy!

Yeah, it was a total bummer, since they were really cute shoes. 🙁

So cute! I am well out of Katy’s target demographic but I want both of them! ????

The others are cute too — check out the grapes.
