The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 12 April 2018 9 Comments

Flowers + food, from Voluspa. Candles in Violet & Honey ("The Macaron collection features glass textured with a soft swirl pattern colored to match the cookie that inspired it. Violet & Honey is a fresh scent with notes of sweet crème lavender honey and sugared violet petals.") and Rose Petal Ice Cream ("This candle is presented in a textured glass vessel with a classic geometric 3D cube pattern and is colored to match the rose that served as fragrance and packaging inspiration. The fruity, floral scent features notes of vanilla bean ice cream, tart raspberry ribbon, marshmallow vanilla crème and sugared rose petals.") Both are available in 4 sizes ($13–$40) at Nordstrom.

Sheesh, I may have to get these, even though I don’t find Voluspa to have very good throw.

I often get to the store and don’t even like the smell of the (unlit) wax — good to know about the throw, thanks.

Yes – I have that issue with candles as well but never knew the word for it.

Gotcha! Well, you didn’t need the word to know what was wrong, but now you know. 🙂

Not all of them are weak, to be fair. I looove the tuberose one. That one fills the house! I would say 80% aren’t worth lighting, though.

Yes, there are a few I like as well-mostly the florals: Jasmine Amaranth, the gardenia one, and the yuzu rose one. All have really good diffusion also.

My sleepy self thought these were from the Berdoues line because the right one looks like the Assam of India’s elephant pattern (I was sans glasses). Doubly disappointed that these sound so boring.
