Jo Malone Tropical Cherimoya ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 30 March 2018 13 Comments

Jo Malone will launch Tropical Cherimoya, part of the Hot Blossoms collection, in May. (There will also be a Cattleya Flower Body Mist.)

Tropical Cherimoya centers on cherimoya fruit, with additional notes of bergamot, pear, apple, copahu resin and tonka bean.

Jo Malone Tropical Cherimoya will be available in 30 and 100 ml Cologne.

(via en.vogue.fr, marieclaire.com.tw)

Update: the description from Nordstrom... "A sea of green cherimoya fruit. Basking in the heat. Topped with juicy pear. The sun-filled notes of passion flower. Warmed by Brazilian copahu resin and creamy tonka bean."

Totally reminds me of the Hermenesses (sp?) bottles…

I do too! The 100 ml has a hot pink cap that I actually don’t like as well as the cap on this one (assuming these images are accurate).

I like it in the picture here a lot – the top looks sort of coppery. However, in one of the images on Google it looks like a paler more pastel and plasticky orange.

I took another look – it does appear as you say a plasticky orange. Brushed copper would be more summery and higher-end.

A while ago I read that Jo Malone was now selling various colored tops (you can choose your color) as an accessory item for five dollars a pop…I guess they decided to use the pink one to dress up these bottles…..

    Huh another new Jo Malone?

They released almost a dozen new scents last 6 months.
And I estimate they are easily going over 20 releases within a 12 month period.
What kind of release strategy is that?
Some people complain about the yearly summer and winter flanker releases by designer brands but this is just as bad imo.

Argh that was a grumpy comment, right? Sorry.

Lots of folks seem very happy with Jo Malone releases. Thats fine of course.

I just guess i am not a ‘quantity’ kinda person….

        Grumpy comments are allowed 🙂

But it’s not *quite* that bad. They did 12 in 2017 (still too many, IMHO, but not as bad as 20) and 15 in 2016 (ditto).

THe new Jasmine Sambac & Marigold one is quite nice, and I liked the English Fields collection. No complaints from me.
