Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2018, part 2

Posted by Robin on 19 March 2018 6 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes special edition bottles from Loewe, Dolce & Gabbana and Cartier; a reformulation for Penhaligon's Elizabethan Rose; plus a new Eau de Toilette concentration of Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium.

Loewe adds to the Colección Un Paseo por Madrid with the fragrance De la Mano por la Rosaleda, in a bottle by Rocio Porres: "Exclusive to Harrods, De la Mano por la Rosaleda by Loewe is an explosion for the senses, displayed in all of its magnitude through aromas such as gentle rose and warm musk. Presented in a beautiful golden bottle designed by the Spanish jewellery designer Rocio Porres, it is a real treasure to behold." £260 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

From Dolce & Gabbana, the Baroque editions of The One for Men and The One. "Delicate baroque ornaments embellish the signature flacon and outer pack of The One Eau de Toilette - a nod to the damasco fabric, key element of the fashion brand’s DNA." In 50 ml Eau de Toilette at Boots in the UK.

From Cartier, limited edition bottles of L’Heure Promise I, L’Heure Brillante VI and L’Heure Diaphane VIII. $200 each for 45 ml at Saks Fifth Avenue.

From Penhaligon's, a newly updated version of Elisabethan Rose, originally introduced in 1984: "Fit for a Queen. A fragrance with (of course) a most commanding presence. Regal. Demanding. Imposing. And yet so perfectly at ease. Delicate indeed. “A rose is a rose is a rose” - but not all roses are created equal." With hazelnut leaf, almond oil, cinnamon, lily, rose, vetiver, musk and wood. In 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Penhaligon's UK.

Yves Saint Laurent's Black Opium in Eau de Toilette: "Black Opium - The New Glowing eau de toilette. Energetic, impulsive and addicted to fun, Black Opium eau de toilette woman enjoys trying new experiences with her friends. She lives in the moment and she is always in quest for the unexpected. Her fragrance signature : the new glowing eau de toilette fizzing addiction. The addiction of a sensual coffee electrified by a dazzling freshness. The energising glow of a pear is enhanced by acidulous citrus notes to illuminate the new Black Opium eau de toilette." In 50 or 90 ml at John Lewis in the UK.

They’re quite nice! I would take the Loewe over those, though, if offered something up for free, from the skies 😉

I love the Cartiers, and honestly That price isn’t much different than some niche lines. Curious to see that these were the 3 selected.

It may just be that these are the 3 available at Saks and there are more elsewhere (?)

Gosh, I love the first 3 photos! I am particularly smitten with that D&G men’s bottle. Wood and lace? Count me in. It also looks like the print is on the back side of the bottle, which I always think creates a nice effect.
