Posted by Robin on 29 January 2018 287 Comments

Hey, it is indeed Monday again. Plus, Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day. What fragrance are you wearing?

I’m wearing L’Artisan Parfumeur Jacinthe des Bois.

Reminder: on 2/2, we’re doing Groundhog Day…

Lazy weekend poll ~ 5 questions for 2018

Posted by Robin on 27 January 2018 338 Comments

A version of a poll we did in early 2016 and again in early 2017, and yes, we’re a little late this year! As always, answer as many or as few as you like, or, likewise as always, feel free to talk about something else altogether.

1. What fragrance are you wearing today?

2. Do you have any fragrance resolutions for 2018? Buy more bottles, buy fewer? Anything new you’d like to try, any notes or brands you’d like to know better?

3. What 2018 release are you most looking forward to, so far?

4. And your fantasy 2018 release? Name the brand and describe the fragrance you think they should develop.

5. What else (anything, really!) are you looking forward to this year?

The freebiemeet, episode 10

Posted by Robin on 27 January 2018 196 Comments — Comments are closed

viola

The freebiemeet is open! PLEASE read the instructions, even if you’ve read them before! Really, pretty please, with sugar on top! There’s not even that many of them, and you will save us all so much time and confusion. This is not that hard. Plus, it’s free stuff! It’s all good, but it’s even better if you read the instructions. If you have any questions, please post them here.

For people who would like to chat in addition to, or instead of, giving and getting free stuff, there will be a poll along shortly.

If you have perfume-related items you’d like to give away (as opposed to swap for something else), and if you’re reasonably sure you can mail your items within the next month, feel free to list them below in the comments AFTER reading the instructions. If you wish to give away items using any rules other than those listed here (to request payment for postage, for example), you are more than welcome to do so any time in one of the scent of the day polls or lazy weekend polls.

If you see something in the comments that you want, and if you already have a reader account here and have commented at least once (no new accounts today, sorry), you can call dibs AFTER reading the instructions…

From Floris London, Rose Geranium Luxury Soap: "The characteristic notes of geranium are enhanced by fresh citrus nuances and a hint of rose. A simple woody base note accord of cedarwood is all that is needed to complete this clean cut classic. Finely fragranced signature soaps, hand wrapped and triple milled with a vegetable base producing a rich creamy lather and containing added shea butter to help moisturise the skin. These traditional soaps are embossed with a Floris design dating back to the 1800s." $45 for three 100g soaps at Floris, or you can find them a little cheaper at Amazon.
