The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 23 November 2017 7 Comments

The Étoile candle, from Cire Trudon's 2017 holiday collection: "Like a wooden breeze, Étoile re-enacts the scent of traditional Japanese incense. Commonly used in Japanese interiors, the voluptuousness of cedar wood Hinoki settles in; it is softened by a hint of balm that calls for the festive season. The open-knot (Hana-Musubi) expresses the wish that good news come repeatedly. It can easily be tied and untied." Additional notes include rose, aldehyde, patchouli, tonka bean and sandalwood. $105.

The other 2 holiday candles this year sound nice too. They’ve really gotten expensive, though.

I was about to add: not for the price, though! But i feel like I say that in half the new perfume announcements.

Oh dear. Sounds perfect but so pricey. I may have to opt for the cheapish Diptyque holiday candles or bryredo Incense. Lol.

Robin (or anyone) – do you know whether Cire Trudon candles scent a room a little even when unlit? Thx.

I can only say that from smelling them in person, in a shop where the open candles were kept under bell jars, they seemed amazingly strong to me! Kevin loves them and he is picky about candles.
