Pierre Guillaume / Huitieme Art Noir Okoume ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 22 November 2017 5 Comments

Pierre Guillaume Noir Okoumé

French niche line Pierre Guillaume has launched Noir Okoumé, a new fragrance in the brand's Huitième Art Collection.

Heart of Wood ...

"I've always been fascinated by the futuristic beauty and plastic genius of some of the works of African statuary. Mysterious and hypnotic they seem to have been shaped by extra-terrestrial hands. The meeting with a reliquary guardian figurine Fang (Gabon) made me want to explore the African theme again, ten years after Aomassaï..."

Black Okoumé tells us about the Wood-King of the Equatorial Forests and Kandéa Resin of Gabon, evoked through a accord of Loban, Oolong leaves, Myrrh, Sandalwood and Iris.

Pierre Guillaume signs a new Woody Balsamic, deep and tender both smoked and powdery. Noir Okoumé is a contemporary accord summoning raw primitive materials.

Pierre Guillaume Noir Okoumé is available now at the brand's website, in 50 (€110) and 100 (€160) ml in 50 (€150) and 100 (€220) ml.

It does sound good! I got the prices wrong again, though — just fixed.

Too sad he dropped the cyclop bottle! I really like it, both look and feel.

Oh wait, the website states “You can choose the design of your bottle (CYCLOP or SHADOW for each fragrances.)”
