Happy Almost-Friday! And RIP Mary Tyler Moore. What fragrance are you wearing?

I am wearing 4160Tuesdays Doe in the Snow, which they describe as a vintage fruity chypre stirred with an icicle. Great fun, and a perfect fragrance for Mary Richards. You can find a review at The Candy Perfume Boy.

Nasomatto Baraonda

Dictionary.com defines “facade” as:

1. Architecture.

  1. the front of a building, especially an imposing or decorative one.
  2. any side of a building facing a public way or space and finished accordingly.

2. a superficial appearance or illusion of something. (think old-style Hollywood movie lots that portrayed Roman temples, Parisian streets, Old West saloons, Colonial villages and Small Town America using facades propped up by stilts)

Virginia Woolf

Hump Day, plus Virginia Woolf’s birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?

I cannot find my sample of Jardins d’Écrivains Orlando, but as there are flowers (roses, carnations, hyacinths, you name it) sprinkled all throughout Mrs. Dalloway, (and for that matter, To The Lighthouse) I went with Lorenzo Villoresi’s lovely Donna, which I have not worn in an age.
