The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 21 July 2017 6 Comments

....or, maybe Lush Whoosh? After all, Lush invented the Shower Jelly. I think. Teen Vogue says so. Anyway, Whoosh: "Our triple-citrus wobbly wash gets you squeaky clean with its invigorating and energizing blend of fresh lemon, lime and grapefruit juices. And just in case your mental faculty is really struggling, we’ve thrown in revitalizing rosemary and balancing geranium to kick-start your senses even more. What are you waiting for? Rise and shine and get in the shower—the world is yours and the day awaits!" $7.95 for 100g or $12.95 for 240g.

I like the Lush shower jellies, and have had Whoosh (most recently, I think). I like the rosewood in Refresher, it might be my favourite scent of the bunch, but oddly, I think it was the 93,000 miles I used up fastest.

Oh perfect, thanks so much because I have never tried one. Did you really scoop out the whole thing and use it like a bar soap? Or…?

No, it’s just too slippery for that, to my mind. I break off little blobs and rub them about. I prefer liquids, but M talked me into the jellies once and they’re sort of fun and the scents are good. I have a feeling they aren’t very cost effective, but, hey… you don’t go to Lush for cost effectiveness, usually.

Thank you, that’s sort of how I figured. And no!

Whoosh is by far my favourite of the jellies, followed by Needles and Pines. I keep Whoosh in the freezer in summer, and use them as a bar of soap. I find the whole pulling bits off idea totally defeats the purpose of what it is and makes it far more difficult a process than it needs to be! I keep it in the tub and just take it out to use. I rub it onto my shower puff where it lathers just like soap or gel then i put it back into its tub. Easy 🙂 for the ice cold Whoosh I rub it like a soap for the coolness and shower puff it.
