The daily lemming

pineapple candle

Who doesn't need a pineapple candle? "Bring a touch of the tropics home with this colorful, pineapple-scented candle that fills any room with the scent of freshly cut fruit." $28 for 30 hour burn time at Nordstrom, where they also sell one on a stick for a garden candle. Plus, from the same brand (Sunnylife), there is a pineapple pool float, pineapple birthday candles, a pineapple wax lamp, pineapple string lights, a pineapple ukulele, a pineapple tambourine, fruit salad popsicle molds, and all sorts of other silly outdoor fruit things for a pool party.

I saw this at Nordstrom last Sunday. I got mear enough to it to overhear a young boy, around 3 yo, excitedly chattering and exclaiming to his mom (distractedly pushing a stroller back and forth) “Look mom, WATERMELON!” ro which the mom replied “and it smells so nice doesn’t it?” I of course wanted to correct but I don’t think the mom would have appeeciated it.

I know Sunnylife makes watermelon stuff too, but this is pineapple. You really have to teach them young 🙂

This post prompted me to look up “sunnylife” on the Nordstrom website, and now I’m fighting to restrain myself from spending way too much money on things I don’t need at all.

…or maybe I DO need a flamingo pool floatie…and pineapple birthday candles…and a watermelon cup and straw?

It’s hard to believe you don’t need a flamingo pool floatie.

Candles that are shaped like things are one of my pet peeves. Will you actually burn it? I don’t think most people would, and then it will never fulfill the purpose for which it was intended! It is cute of course, and all these sunnylife things are cool and not too expensive. May take a walk over to Nordstrom on my lunch break 😉

Ha — I would have to say that even if I never burned it, it would fulfill the purpose for which I bought it, since if I bought it, it would hardly be for its general usefulness but for its general cuteness 😉

It is cute in aesthetics but it is full-sized.
