Acqua di Parma Colonia Mirra ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 28 February 2017 4 Comments

Acqua di Parma Colonia Mirra

Italian niche line Acqua di Parma has launched Colonia Mirra, the latest fragrance in the brand's Ingredient Collection. Colonia Mirra is a flanker to Acqua di Parma Colonia, and is being released along with Colonia Ebano.

An original, elegant fragrance created using an unusual accord of two olfactory themes with an intense personality: the citrus notes of colonia blended with the warm, aromatic accents of myrrh, a precious ingredient with a heady suggestion of mystical charm.

Fresh top notes give way to a unique heart, where delicate orange blossom scents and spicy nutmeg accents blend with warm hints of myrrh oil. An enfolding veil of patchouli base notes mixes with the scent of myrrh resin, which reveals its balsamic, amber accents, unveiling the truly sophisticated personality of this new eau de cologne concentrée.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Mirra is available now at Barneys, in 100 or 180 ml Eau de Cologne Concentrée.

Notes sound interesting. Still: What is an “Eau de Cologne Concentrée” supposed to be? A comparatively strong EdC? A light EdT?

I think it’s supposed to be Eau de Parfum strength. They don’t want to call a “Colonia” EDP so that’s why they go for the Eau de Cologne Concentree (as far as I know).
I really like their Leather and Oud.
