Diptyque Eau Dominotee ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 2 January 2017 8 Comments

Diptyque Eau Dominotée

Diptyque has launched Eau Dominotée, a new multi-use (fabric and skin) spray.* Eau Dominotée is part of a capsule collection with decorations by Antoinette Poisson; other items in the series include reissues of the Rosamundi candle (in two sizes, see design below) and Eau Rose in several formats with newly decorated boxes.

What it is: In honor of Valentine's Day, diptyque partners with Antoinette Poisson, a creator and restorer of domino paper, and she has designed two exclusive motifs—one floral, one geometrical—to decorate the scented objects in the collection.

Fragrance story: This rare eau scents both your skin and fabric with notes that feature the natural grace of rose, the freshness of foliage and a slight, almost undetectable trace of patchouli.

Diptyque Eau Dominotée is $90 for 200 ml at Nordstrom.

Yes, I went to Kroger’s yesterday and they already had an aisle set up with the label “Valentine’s Day.” Ugh!!

Ha – Valentine’s Day was up the day AFTER Christmas here. Urgh.

Not sure the marketing department was fully on board here: the “Antoinette Poisson” involved in the packaging design isn’t a “she,” it’s an “it” or a “they.”

Hard to know if that came from Diptyque or Nordstrom or a translator somewhere…

I laughed at “a slight, almost undetectable trace of patchouli.”
