Diptyque holiday candles 2016

Une Nuit Chez Diptyque

Diptyque has introduced their Holiday 2016 candle collection. This year's theme: Une Nuit Chez Diptyque, a "marvelous winter tale in three acts", featuring decorations in collaboration with Pierre Marie.

Épices et Délices (red candle, shown above center and in second image below) ~ "Delicious Spices — The Cooker Secret: A warm spicy accord. Gingerbread, honey and star anise. A unique recipe of gingerbread captured in the wax."

Un Encens Étoilé (blue candle, shown above left) ~ "A Sparkling Incense — The Magic Formula: A Sparkling Woody Accord, incense, elemi and Vanilla."

Épices et Délices candle

Le Roi Sapin (green candle, shown top right) ~ "Festive Fir Tree — A woody Resinic accord. Fir balsam, pine and artemisia."

The Diptyque Épices et Délices, Un Encens Étoilé and Le Roi Sapin candles are $35 each for a 70g mini candle (burn time 30 hours) or $70 for the full-sized 190g (burn time 60 hours). A coffret with three mini candles is $100.

    Crap.More eyecandy for the wishlist….It would look fantastic displayed along with the Diptyque advent calender…

    I might be tempted this year, the gingerbread one especially. Sadly this year the packaging does not really inspire me.

      They are pretty, but not not nearly as spectacular as some past years, and possibly my least favorite since I started posting them in 2007.

    Agreed re packaging – looks almost cheap – hopefully better “in person”. I tend to pick these up half price in Space NK summer sale. So I’ll look forward to burning these next Christmas 😉

    I have a couple of their holiday candles, but nothing beats Pomander from their main line. I splurge on one every winter.
