Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2016, part 14

Posted by Robin on 30 September 2016 9 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes limited edition bottles from Marc Jacobs, Viktor & Rolf, Givenchy and Philosophy.

Marc Jacobs Decadence One Eight K edition

From Marc Jacobs, the Decadence One Eight K edition: "More than ever, this limited-edition Decadence Eau de Pafum is the ultimate statement-maker: a decadently feminine bottle inspired by an iconic handbag shape elevated in a liquid gold-inspired hue." $127 for 100 ml at Nordstrom.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Shine edition

Also from Marc Jacobs, the Daisy Shine edition: "The bottle is a new interpretation of the iconic original Daisy with a nod to vintage holiday ornaments, celebrating the joyful spirit of the season." Shown in Pink, also available in Red and Gold. $105 for 100 ml at Sephora.

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon thing

From Viktor & Rolf, a special bow-on-bow edition of Bonbon: "The bow is an iconic symbol in fashion designers Viktor & Rolf's rich heritage; one that embodies the essence of the brand's haute couture spirit. While wearing a bow is a personal, decorative experience; unwrapping one signifies a celebratory occasion. Sculpted to perfection, the one-of-a-kind BONBON bow bottle proves that the impossible is possible." $120 for 100 ml at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Very Irresistible Givenchy Sparkling Edition

From Givenchy, Very Irresistible Givenchy in the Sparkling Edition: "It's time to shine with the limited edition Very Irresistible Givenchy Eau de Toilette Sparkling Edition." $106 for 75 ml at The Bay in Canada.

Philosophy Amazing Grace Nutcracker edition

From Philosophy, Amazing Grace in the Nutcracker edition: "A truly graceful way to say happy holidays, philosophy's iconic, amazingly clean, beautifully feminine fragrance comes wrapped in limited-edition nutcracker packaging." $48 for 60 ml at Nordstrom.

Re: Daisy Shine – I am no expert on vintage holiday decor but I don’t think that hot pink was a traditional vintage color, let alone a HOLIDAY color!

Well they did do red & gold too, I guess…but also, from the 5/6 above, I take it that PINK is a big color this holiday season 😉

Pink Christmas is verrry 50’s. Not super vintage, but ~60 years or so. My boyfriend has a huge collection from then.

That said I much prefer the original bottle to any of these shiny versions.

Robin, I work for Dillard’s and we received the 18K Decadence today. To me, it smells similar, but not exactly like the previous two.

Thanks! From what I read it is just a special bottle, so should smell exactly like the first one — but maybe my source was incorrect.

I don’t know–it might be possible to get another bow on that BonBon bottle.

Well, you could wrap it in bow-patterned paper and tie a big bow around it. And then hurl it at anyone who is pretentious enough to actually wear one of the wretched things. ;^)

Oh, I think the bow on the bow could easily be wearing a bow. They have hardly even tried here.

The bow on a bow could be wearing a bow which is itself wearing a bow, for sure…
