Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2016, part 13

Posted by Robin on 23 September 2016 10 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes a limited edition body product from Guerlain, plus limited edition bottles from Bond no. 9, Donna Karan, Viktor & Rolf and Calvin Klein.

Guerlain Souffle d'Or de Shalimar Perfumed Iridescent Powder for Hair & Body

From Guerlain's 2016 holiday collection, Souffle d'Or de Shalimar Perfumed Iridescent Powder for Hair & Body: "This fine, shimmering gold powder for body and hair is subtly perfumed with the vanilla, bergamot and orange blossom notes found in Shalimar Souffle de Parfum. A graceful press of the bulb releases the airy, loose, iridescent gold powder, along with a rush of delightful scent. The powder is housed in a reinterpretation of the world-famous Shalimar fragrance bottle." $98 at Nordstrom.

Bond no. 9 Soho Swarovski edition

From Bond no. 9, the Swarovski edition of Soho: "A stunning gender-neutral scent inspired by New York’s most unique neighborhood in a limited edition bottle shimmering with 472 black and clear Swarovski crystals." $1100 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Donna Karan Liquid Cashmere Blush Breast Cancer Awareness Month edition

From Donna Karan, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month edition of Liquid Cashmere Blush. $92 for 50 ml at Bloomingdales.

Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb limited edition

From Viktor & Rolf, "Spicebomb gets dressed up in a trendy black and silver bottle, designed to echo its fierce masculinity." 90 ml Eau de Toilette, $115 at Macy's.

Calvin Klein Eternity for Men Holiday 2016

Also at Macy's, a limited edition bottle of Calvin Klein Eternity for Men for Holiday 2016. $78 for 100 ml.

That Guerlain blue is really eye-catching. They use a similar shade of blue on their skincare “Issima” line and I am always on the brink of buying stuff just because of the lovely color… but the price sobers me up! LoL

It’s gorgeous. The copy that says that a “graceful press of the bulb” made me laugh a little though, that’s a nice classy way of saying “when you squeeze the thingie.”

They believe at Guerlain that only graceful swans use their products…typing this with dirty-ish fingers after I washed my car.????????????

And what “fierce masculinity”, pray tell, has caused the staining on that Spicebomb bottle?

A masculinity so fierce it causes paint cans to spontaneously explode?

I think they are also doing a mirror finish bottle for Euphoria this year — but doubt it will be green.
