Alaia Eau de Parfum Blanche by Azzedine Alaia ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 20 September 2016 11 Comments

Alaïa Eau de Parfum Blanche by Azzedine Alaïa

Azzedine Alaïa will launch Alaïa Eau de Parfum Blanche later this year. The new fragrance for women is a flanker to 2015's Alaïa Paris.

Alaïa Eau de Parfum Blanche was developed by perfumer Marie Salamagne, who noted:

In this new adventure I aimed for a white, milky florality, a bit more solar, adding a powdery element, as well as the wealth of vanilla and a musky addition, in a complex and timeless creation.

Alaïa Eau de Parfum Blanche by Azzedine Alaïa will be available in 50 and 100 ml.

You said *opaque* bottles in other colours was what we needed. Why do they never listen to you? 😉

Yeah, how come??? That bottle would look fantastic in opaque white, and would make a beautiful coffret with the black bottle.

It really would. (!!!) If I were the bottle designer who ignored your original instructions and were reading this now, I’d be banging my head against a wall. (More bottles should be opaque, period, IMHO.)

I am curious about the juice being perfectly clear, however. That’s always kind of fascinating.

It’s a pretty good sign there’s not a whole ton of natural materials in there, is my guess!

(which is not to say the opposite is true — I think most of the time, the juice is artificially colored)

Robin is right. Most coloured juices are dyed. Serge Lutens in perticular makes me really mad.
It’s a brand that stands for quality and authenticity to me and they colouring most of their perfumes just feel wrong. On the other hand, scents like Chergui would look weird totally clear or lightly yellow.
          Grr. I’m contradicting myself again.

Oh – I see that there’s also an extrait version of the original. *nose perks up* I’d like to try that AND this flanker, being a big fan of the first.
