Byredo Belle de Tanger ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 25 August 2016 12 Comments

Byredo Belle de Tanger

Niche line Byredo has launched Belle de Tanger, a new fragrance.

A unique and bespoke fragrance created by Ben Gorham exclusively for Neiman Marcus. Belle de Tanger is inspired by the tangerine from tangier Morocco.

Opening with citrus notes of Seville bitter orange, Belle de Tanger unveils a rich heart of midnight violet, wild orris and dries out to soft and comforting notes of cashmere.

Byredo Belle de Tanger is available now for pre-order at Neiman Marcus, $230 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Ben and Byredo are certainly prolific this year! That said, I will definitely try this one if I find it.

I think this is 6? Far from the worst, but still too many.

Haven’t warmed to this line either. I’d call them Nordic Hipsters, as long as that doesn’t transgress the comment policy…

I think Nordic hipsters is pretty accurate! There are some I really like, others less so.

I don’t think there’s anything in the comment policy that says you can’t accuse a brand of being Nordic, or of being hipsters.

This isn’t a line I run across often, only saw it in Vegas. Notes sounded very promising, till I got to cashmere.

I Love Byredo… But Mr. Gorham seems to be on a bit of a Fragrance Bender this year! Slow your roll, Ben!

Bitter orange, violet, and orris sounds intriguing. Not sure about cashmere…. ????

Definitely a prolific brand, but I have found some real gems and this is one of them. It’s so refreshing for summer. The sillage is relatively low so I can easily wear it at work without hurting anyone’s sensibilities and the scent stays for at least four hours. I love it.
My absolute fave from Byredo is Bal d’Afrique, but I also love Rose Noir, Rose of No Man’s Land and Inflorescence. Even Black Saffron is nice.
