Diptyque Kimonanthe ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 22 August 2016 10 Comments

Diptyque Kimonanthe

Diptyque will launch Kimonanthe, a new fragrance in the La Collection 34 series (see Eau Mage, Ôponé and Benjoin Bohème).

Kimonanthe was developed by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, and was inspired by Japanese powdered incense (zukoh). The notes include osmanthus and incense.

Diptyque Kimonanthe will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

this sounds interesting. i can’t quite imagine osmanthus and incense. opone is one of my faves from back when it was in their regular line up. nice rose/saffron/incense scent that never received enough credit for it’s beauty.

Sounds interesting to me too. Have read that it will be exclusive to Diptyque boutiques, but hoping that is not true — will certainly try it if I see it at their counter at Nordstrom.

Notes sound interesting but I can’t get over the fugly bottle. I may change my mind once I see the bottle.

I can’t decide about the bottle. I think the only part I hate is the orange cap.

How interesting! I thought the bottle looks really neat, and would love to own any one of those bottles from the 34 collection perfumes just for their aesthetic appeal. But that is only my opinion, of course.

p.s. By the 34 collection, I was thinking of those bottles that are now done in the same style (Eau Mage, Opone and Benjoin, as Robin lists them). I really like those!

They would look great as a set! I just happen to not like orange 🙂

Oooh, I look forward to trying this one. According to the ingredient lists I found on-line, zukoh sounds nice to me — spicy and NO frankincense 🙂

The cap and bottle are quite ugly, IMO, at least in the photo. But, it’s the juice that counts, right? 🙂
