Carolina Herrera Mystery Tobacco ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 16 August 2016 9 Comments

Carolina Herrera Mystery Tobacco

Carolina Herrera has launched Mystery Tobacco, a new addition to the Herrera Confidential collection.

Tobacco, the enigmatic ingredient at the Heart of Mystery Tobacco, epitomises the authenticity of true luxury. The note is designed to sublimate its warm and enveloping aromas, revealing the exceptional perfume expertise of the House of Herrera. The skilful treatment of the raw ingredient unveils all the secrets of its delicate leaves and praises the artisanal work of the perfumer, subtly combining touch and smell.

Mystery Tobacco intertwines mesmerising tobacco essence with steaming citrus accents, polished woods, and oriental beans. The seductive breakthrough of ginger, davana oil, and the sweet flower of osmanthus, instantly takes centre stage, tendering an invitation to explore the fragrance’s heart. At the centre, the fragrance unfolds with the earthy strength of vetiver; an underlying sense of exploration imbued through spicy patchouli and notes of guaiac wood. Secretive and enticing, the Eau de Parfum is an expression of unmistakable style.

Carolina Herrera Mystery Tobacco is available now at Harrods in the UK, £185 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Sounds lovely. But the name is lacking. Does anyone remember Roald Dahl’s essay on spiking his sister’s insufferable fiancé’s pipe with goat tobacco?

Ha, I don’t! But agree, the name is pretty darned dull.

Ha! I didn’t read it but agree about the name. Reminds me of “mystery meat”. It does sound nice, though.
