Annick Goutal Rose Oud ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 24 June 2016 5 Comments

Annick Goutal Rose Oud

Annick Goutal has launched Rose Oud, a new fragrance joining the Les Absolus collection.

Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen have composed a new olfactory tale to complete the collection named Les Absolus. A new interpretation of some the finest raw materials in perfumery, Agarwood and Turkish rose.

A unique sensuality that immerses ourselves in the mysteries of the Orient. An Oriental fantasy of exceptional modernity.

Additional notes include coriander, cardamom and incense.

Annick Goutal Rose Oud is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum,

Yawn. Why always rose oud? Why not jasmine oud or tuberose oud?

Rose and oud are the tradition, but also suspect the others don’t work since we never seem to see them.

Montale had a carnation oud once that I never got a bottle of before it was discontinued. Maybe we just never see them because of a lack of imagination

Al-Khat by Xerjoff comes to mind as a jasmine oud, but I’ve not tried it. But I agree, that’s the only one I can name off the top of my head, and I could name a deluge of rose ouds.
