It’s like my second skin

Posted by Robin on 23 June 2016 9 Comments

When I was younger, the traditional way women wore fragrance was to choose one perfume and stay faithful to it, so it became almost part of their personality. My mother [actress Ingrid Bergman] always wore L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci. When I smell that, of course I still think of Mama.

My scent has always been Trésor—it's like my second skin.

That is a great story. I wonder if she has a huge stash of vintage Trésor from when it was first launched, because that stuff was pure rosy-peachy Grojsman gloriousness, and the reformulation really isn’t.

Still, it’s kind of nice that the original face of a scent actually likes it that much.

Yes, I love those kinds of stories. I used to love Tresor back in its original days and especially the parfum concentration. I hope she has lots of it from those days! I don’t think I can give up my collection, but I’m still envious of the signature scent folks.

Yes, I feel exactly that envy too, despite my many bottles.

She sat next to me in a park in midtown, nyc, years ago. It was her birthday as I heard her talk about it on her phone. She had no makeup on and was just beautiful.

She really is stunning. Beautiful inside and out.

      Did she smell like Tresor?

I wonder if Lancome secretly supplies her with un-reformulated Tresor, kept just for her? 🙂

The stuff on the counters today seems fairly unpleasant to me. I never smelled it back in the day.
