Luxury niche line Clive Christian has launched X Twist Narcissus and X Twist Saffron, new variations on the brand's X fragrances.
Created exclusively for Selfridges, luxury British perfumer brand Clive Christian has reimagined its cult perfumes in a new pair of limited edition fragrances. These scents retain the quality, complexity and depth of the label's traditional perfumes while presenting a distinctively modern twist.
X Twist Narcissus ~ "X Twist Narcissus contains the full-bodied sensuality of Egyptian jasmine at its heart, alongside bewitching narcissus - wild harvested in France’s southern climes. The base retains its warmth wrapped around woody notes and cashmere, while the top has an added drop of juicy apricot to lend a bright youthful touch."
X Twist Saffron ~ "Built around precious saffron from the Vale of Kashmir, this indulgent scent is combined with with sensual orris and fragrant cinnamon at its heart. Oakmoss brings a natural touch along with aromatic sandalwood and musk at its base, whilst pink pepper and ginger remain as top notes in this wonderfully balanced eau de parfum."
Clive Christian X Twist Narcissus and X Twist Saffron can be found now at Selfridges in the UK, £220 each for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

This is the first time I see saffron without a leather note. They are almost allways used in tandem, probably because the material Safraleine smells of both saffron and leather.
Pretty sure L’Artisan does not list leather for Safran Troublant either.
Even the natural saffron absolute does have a leather nuance. Maybe it’s more a matter of what they want to highlight.
