I was all prepared to say, “Hmm, mimosa coconut sounds like a fun idea,” but then I read about patchouli petals and decided not to go try these.

Also, “hot-now-need-now” is a big nope. Especially for $68. I spent less than that for my new bottle of Teo Cabanel Early Roses, which is gorgeous.

And now I sound like I’m beating up on VS. It is true that I haven’t tried anything that came from there after Pink Beach, years ago. I did love the original Victoria, and the original Pink (late 90s) was a really pretty green floral. I’m just not the VS customer anymore, if I ever even was. 🙁

Ha…patchouli petals (which doesn’t even make sense) brought me up short too. But I have been meaning to try the collections in general, although since I don’t get to the mall often it never seems to happen.

Mals, may I ask where you got your bottle of Early Roses? 🙂

Ah. Well, ebay. 🙂 Slightly used. 50mls for $52 shipped (seller took a loss on it, I think). I had thought that Teo Cabanels usually went for about $110/100ml and $85/50ml, but I just went to Lucky Scent and saw that they’re selling 50mls for $110, so maybe they just went up in the last three months. Hmm.

I did buy the sample set last summer and could have used a discount directly from the site… ooh, just went there to look and the prices have DEFINITELY gone up.

So. Strike my comment about Teo Cabanel being cheaper than Victoria’s Secret. (embarrassing.)

I’m sorry, I’m a bit lost…are these “sexy and exotic” or not?

Smart, uh, butt-ery aside, I’ll admit the Coconut Fig has me a bit intrigued!

      Sexy and exotic — check.

(And me too. On the coconut & fig, not the sexy and exotic))

I tried these the other day. I thought the coconut fig was pretty good, admittedly, I have zero experience with fig fragrances…so my guess is that it is more coconut than fig.

These ad copies read like mad libs! “Sexy and exotic, (adjective) (noun) (verb) with (noun) in this hot now, need now eau de parfum.”
