Not a lot of research into this, for them to insert an Iguaçu Falls picture to represent the Amazon (some good 2000 miles away) and to arrive at this revolutionary idea of mixing coconut with woods and citrus. So many interesting scents here, when will these guys do their homework?

L’Occitane seems to be the only western company (that I know of) really making an effort to use Brazilian ingredients that aren’t well known elsewhere. Do you know how the L’Occitane Bresil line is being received there?

It is actually being made here, and new products are lauched here first. The Olinda perfume, for instance, is nice and actually smells like things you would find there.

I regretted the crankiness of my comment, but really, the notes are almost the same as in Batucada, but Batucada has the best name ever.

Oh, never a need to apologize for crankiness induced by a fragrance announcement — it’s a common phenomenon 🙂

The spot is very funny! “Banho”, after all is just the ordinary Brazilian term for washing your body, whether in the bath or the shower or a river or the beach.

      The American equivalent:

This perfume is based on the Californian ritual of the Shower, in which young girls bathe in the Mississippi waterfalls (picture of Niagara shown here).
