Bvlgari Man Black Cologne ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 6 May 2016 9 Comments

Bvlgari Man Black Cologne

Bvlgari has launched Man Black Cologne, a new 'ultra-contemporary' masculine fragrance. Man Black Cologne is a flanker to 2014's Man in Black, which was a flanker to 2010's Bvlgari Man.

Bvlgari Man Black Cologne is a fresh and masculine scent for the contemporary explorer. Addictive and sensual, the jeweler's oriental eau de cologne opens with notes of rum and citrus, then blooms into a luminous accord of tuberose and neroli. The base is rounded out with sensual and warm benzoin and sandalwood.

Bvlgari Man Black Cologne is available now at Dillards, in 60 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (A 30 ml size is also sold in some markets.)

When I first read the title of the article, I got quite excited thinking this was a new take on Black. But no, it isn’t, though Black in a cologne style might be intriguing.

Depending on the level of ‘fresh’, I might like to give this a try. The notes sound lovely.

Coincidentally, I just recommended Bvlgari Man in Black to Amy as tuberose without the tuberose smell.

Good to know – can’t remember if I ever smelled it.

They’ve really gotten lazy with the names, haven’t they?

Very! And so long as they were lazy, why not be consistent — why Man, Man in Black, Man Black Cologne? Why not Man in Black Cologne?

Agreed. ‘Black Cologne’ makes me twitch.

They’re giving Ferre a run for their money in the category “names that seem intended to cause confusion.”

I get confused enough with the Narciso Rodriguez scents.
