Vilhelm Parfumerie A Lilac A Day & Colette x Vilhelm ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 5 April 2016 15 Comments

Vilhelm Parfumerie A Lilac A Day & Vilhelm x Colette

Niche line Vilhelm Parfumerie has introduced two new fragrances, A Lilac A Day and Colette x Vilhelm.

A Lilac A Day ~ "A masterpiece in fragrance, the Vilhelm A Lilac a Day eau de parfum has captured the freshly picked, intoxicating green scent of the classic Lilac flower. Created using the same scent molecules that are found within the headspace of a live lilac, each ingredient used within the fragrance reproduces the different facets of the flower, so you can experience the joy of a fresh lilac beyond the confines of a crisp spring day. In the language of flowers, lilacs symbolise the first, tentative, yet exhilarating, moments of love. The lilac is a flower that speaks to its beholder, both with its delicate, textured appearance, and the familiar-yet-intoxicating scent at its heart. Believed by the ancient Celts to be a ‘magical’ fragrance, lilacs are considered to be a harbinger of spring, a season of rebirth and abundance." £145 for 100 ml at Liberty in the UK.

Colette x Vilhelm ~ "The New Yorker perfumery offers an original fig-based fragrance, inspired by colette’s signature olfactory scent, available from April 25th." €154 (before tax) at Colette in France.

Update: additional notes for Colette x Vilhelm include coconut water, pomelo, tobacco flower, leather and salted sandalwood.

Hope the lilac one comes to Barney’s soon. I’m always up for sniffing a lilac bush or a new lilac scent

I had my heart set on Amouage’s Lilac Love but now here’s also this alluring bottle from Vilhelm?

The lilacs in my neck of the woods aren’t blooming yet, so I have to make due with En Passant. I hope this lands in the States so I can sniff it because there are too few lilac perfumes.

Lilacs! Woo hoo! I am liking Purple Reign, but something even more lilacy would be nice. This one sounds good – lilac headspace conjures up interesting images… 🙂

Does “Headspace” mean “we futzed around with scent molecules of a natural substance and came up with a mutant ingredient but don’t want to call it that?”

I love the bottle though. Don’t you think one if these bottles would look great in your collection? ????

I agree the bottles look nice…need to see it in person though as a large “sample” just for the bottle is just too decadent 🙂 oh wait…ummm, ok, never mind
