Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 25 March 2016 6 Comments

Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct

Abercrombie & Fitch will launch First Instinct, a new fougère aromatic amber fragrance for men, later this year.

First Instinct was developed by perfumer Philippe Romano. The notes include electric gin & tonic, kiwano melon, Szechuan pepper, violet leaves, citrus, sueded musk and amber.

I will update with sizes and concentration when I can.

(via moodiereport)

Update: First Instinct is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. The description from Selfridges.... "Created by Perfumer Phillippe Romano, it's modern and fresh with a light oriental warmth. Presented in a textured smoky glass vessel to give the effect of rippling water, this scent leads with top notes of aromatic gin & tonic combined with Kiwano melon, opening up to a spicy peppery heart balanced with violet and citrus, rounding off with a sueded musk and raw amber base."

“Electric gin and tonic.” That’s some pure Prix Eau Faux ad copy right there.

I was just thinking, “I want some electric gin”! Would it be very lemony or blue-colored? 🙂

I’m assuming it would be the liquid metal color in the bottle shown above 😉

Hope it’s this decade’s new Fierce. Hasn’t been a bottle that nice since the old fierce days. I wished they had brought back Christoph Laudemiel but oh well. Notes are so weird. Sueded musk? Is that real? And those top notes though.

I don’t know who the perfumer is…sueded musk could be an accord, or could be a synthetic musk note with leathery undertones.
